We wanted to share the message we received on behalf of New Plymouth’s Muslim community following the interfaith gathering held last Sunday at Holy Trinity Church. A news report on the gathering is here.

“Kia ora Whānau. Many thanks to everyone who attended today's Interfaith prayer congregation at Holy Trinity Church. Many thanks for showing solidarity and condolences for our Muslim brothers and sisters who passed away and those who are injured in the brutal attack in the Christchurch Mosques. Many thanks for making us one and showing your compassion towards us. We Muslims of New Plymouth deeply appreciate your kind gesture by opening your churches for us and with great hospitality. Importantly thankyou to Archbishop Philip Richardson for speaking to me today before the start of the service and Archdeacon Trevor Harrison offering to us a warm welcome in the Church. God Bless All Human beings, New Zealand and the entire world, God's Peace be upon all of us, Ameen! Yusuf.”
