Welcome to E-ffervescence… named not only for the delightful word which means a collection of bubbles in a liquid (symbolizing all our little individual bubbles connected together by our Cathedral Community), but because it also denotes vivacity and enthusiasm! All sevices on the 22nd will be non-eucharist. We will hold short services of prayer at 8.00am, 9.00am and 10.15am for our country and world as we face the COVID-19 crisis. Following the PMs declaration on Saturday 21 March at midday of a level 2 situation, requesting at risk groups to remain at home, which includes those over 70 years and those with other respiratory or health conditions, we also request our parishoners in those groups to remain at home. The Archbishops and Bishops of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa New Zealand have together made the decision to suspend all public services of worship until further notice. This suspension will take effect following those services being held this coming Sunday 22 March. read more
In response to the Government restriction on gatherings of more than 100 people we will this Sunday 22nd March, offer 3 services at 8.00am, 9.00am and 10.15am restricted to 50 people at each, which will also allow for social distancing. At our services we are no longer sharing the Peace and communion will only be offered in one kind, the bread. Sunday’s Shared Lunch is cancelled. read more
