Purpose and Activities
Our Cathedral Youth Ministries offers two options for mid week youth groups:
Agape is geared for high school students. We have in depth discussions, share dinner, play games, and help out around the cathedral where we can! We also love helping in our wider community, focussing on Secret Agent Missions (Random Acts of Kindness), and how we can help others the best! We also love movie nights, sleepovers, and of course Spotlight!
Aroha is our intermediates group, for school years 6-8. We focus on action oriented learning, lots of games, and a meal every week. We also work on Secret Agent Missions, and meet up with Agape every now and then for some social events, as well as having our own movie nights and spotlight time!
Time and Place of Gatherings
Aroha - Mondays, term times, 6pm - 7.30pm in the Peace Lounge
Agape - Tuesdays, term times, 6pm-8pm in the Hatherly Hall.

Purpose and Activities
Bed pushing is a worthwhile ministry which requires no more than a desire to assist and enable patients to participate in the pleasure of a church service while in the hospital.
We meet at the Chapel at 10.30am. where the Chaplain provides us with a list of people wanting to attend the service. The patients are collected from the wards and wheeled to the Chapel where they join with others to enjoy the music, fellowship and take communion. Primarily the patients will be in wheelchairs but it is sometimes necessary to wheel beds - this does not require a great amount of energy.
This brief, casual, ministry is very rewarding for such little effort and can fulfill a great need for the patient .
Time and Place of Gatherings
We meet Quarterly on a Sunday at the Base Hospital Chapel at 10.30am (Rostered approximately 4 times yearly).
