Every Sunday 

Faith Crew is the name of our children’s group which meets every Sunday, all year round, during church, even during the holidays.  It is for children from kindy age up.  Most Sundays we meet in church and go out to do our own activities and games after the first hymn.  Parents are welcome to stay if their child feels shy.  We come back in time to join in with Communion, the bread and wine.

Family Services 

Once a month (the last Sunday of the month) we have a Family Service where the children participate directly in the service, they are invited to sit up the front so that they can see what is going on and really be a part of the service.  We have a board which charts our ‘journey’ through the service and stars to represent the children which they can personalise and stick up on the board.  This is a short and relaxed service.

Special Services 

Sometimes there are extra-special services (eg. Easter Sunday) where the children don’t go out for the service - or they’d miss out - but we do provide special activities at the back, to give them things to do.

Very Young Children 

All children are welcome in the Cathedral - but we do know it can be hard to keep them interested.  Do feel free to sit at the back where there are some toys, books and colouring in.  It is a more open area than sitting in a pew and children can move about more easily.

Teenagers 

Our Faith Crew would not be complete without our brilliant teenagers.  They are welcome to play an active role either as members or, as they grow more confident, as leaders and helpers.
